Anyone can scrape a website. Goatavo reads 82 chains, prices 58 of them store by store, and resolves 22 down to an on-hand count and a location code you can walk to — aisle D14, bay 42-014, bin 18/042. The wall below names all 82; the queue at the bottom is for the ones that are missing.

Most coverage pages give you a logo grid and let you assume the rest. Here is the honest version: three tiers, a named roster for each, and the sentence that starts with 'it cannot'. If a chain is only on tier one, we say so on this page and in the app.
82 retailers
Every retailer on this page, no exceptions.
The listed online price, a 90-day line, the all-time low, and how many times the price has moved this quarter. This is the floor — if a store is on the wall, you get at least this.
It cannot tell you what the tag says in the building.

What your store charges, and whether that tag is a markdown.
Regional pricing is real: the same Ninja fryer is $17.98 at Target Mueller and $29.99 at Target Round Rock, four miles apart. At these retailers we price per store, and we read the markdown ladder — 30, 50, 70, 90 — off the tag pattern.
It cannot always tell you how many are left or where they sit.

How many are on the shelf, and which aisle they are on.
The deepest tier. A SKU resolves to an on-hand count and a physical location code — aisle D14, bay 42-014, bin 18/042 — timestamped, with a confirmation count from whoever last walked past it.
It is only as fresh as the last read — we always show the clock.

The other 36 shelf-data chains give us the store, the price and the markdown stage — but no location code. Costco is the loudest example: the warehouse knows, the API does not.
A price ending in .03 means something at Home Depot and nothing at Target. A red dot at Dillard's stacks; a yellow tag at Target does not. This is the lore that lives in Facebook groups — we encoded it, per retailer, and put it on the card.

Pick a store instead of a product. Goatavo shows what is marked down inside that specific building right now — with the aisle, the on-hand count and how old the read is. Filter to 70%+, $40 or more off, and two or more left, then watch the search.
Resolve the store, not the chain
Target · Mueller is a different price list from Target · Round Rock four miles away. We keep them apart.
Read the on-hand endpoint
Every 22 minutes for watched SKUs, every 6 hours for the long tail. The clock is printed on the row.
Attach the location code
Aisle C08. Bay 42-014. Bin 18/042. If we do not have it, the row says so instead of guessing.
Let scouts correct it
51 confirmations on the Pegasus. When the shelf is emptier than the endpoint thinks, the human number wins and the row says who walked it.

Fourteen categories. Every chain we read at launch, with a shelf-data flag on the ones where we price your specific store. This is the list — if your store is missing from it, there is a request form further down and we do read it.
Whether we read Target is a yes or a no. How many Targets are within twenty minutes of you is a different question — and it is the one that decides whether a 70%-off endcap is a detour or a road trip. Here is the launch density across the first twelve metros, 11,518 storefronts in total.

These are the six stores above, each producing the kind of card only its own depth allows. The Home Depot penny hit needs a bay. The Alo find needs a human. The Costco .97 needs nothing but a tag reader who knows what an asterisk means.

A 99% markdown you cannot find is a 0% markdown. Aisle C08 turns a rumor into an errand you finish in four minutes.
“4 on shelf” is worthless without “read 40m ago”. Both numbers ship together or neither ships.
When two scouts report different counts at the same store, we show both rows with their accuracy scores instead of averaging them into a lie.
Every coverage page on the internet rounds up. This one does not. These are the retailers where Goatavo stops at the website, grouped by the reason, with what we do instead. If that is a dealbreaker for the store you care about most, better you find out now than on a Tuesday in a parking lot.
5 retailers · web price only
A marketplace has a buy box, not an aisle. Asking for an on-hand count is asking the wrong question.
Instead: We track the buy box, the 90-day line, seller rotation, and the warehouse-deal tier — which is the signal that actually matters here.
9 retailers · web price only
Inventory appears at 10:00 ET and is gone by 10:04. A shelf count would be stale before it rendered.
Instead: We watch the release calendar, the draw windows and the restock endpoint, and alert on the drop rather than the price.
7 retailers · web price only
Brand-owned stores price nationally online but mark down locally, and they publish none of it.
Instead: Web price plus history, and an in-store rack flag whenever a scout confirms one with a photo and a timestamp.
3 retailers · web price only
Trader Joe's does not put prices online. Zara and Uniqlo do not expose store inventory. There is no endpoint to read.
Instead: The community price log, and nothing more. We would rather show you an empty state than a number we made up.
One exception worth naming. Alo Yoga has no inventory endpoint at all, and it is still marked shelf-level — because enough scouts walk the Domain Northside sale rack every Thursday that the community data is better than the API would be. That is the only place we let people outrun a machine, and the card always says which one you are looking at.
How scouts are scoredEndpoints give us price and count. Humans give us the aisle, the rack, the reset day and the correction when a tag is wrong. Every claim carries a name, a timestamp and an accuracy score that goes down when they are wrong.
“I was in four Facebook groups, two Discords and a text thread. Everything I actually used is one feed now, and the aisle number is right.”
“The comps are on the card. I stopped opening a second app to work out whether a $17 air fryer was worth the drive.”
“I gave goat my list. It priced all nine things across three stores and told me which two trips were actually worth making.”
“Nine minutes of warning is the difference between a pair and a screenshot. I cancelled three cook groups.”
“It tells me when the 'sale' is the same price it's been all year. I trust that more than the deal itself.”
“The list used to be a blog post with 400 comments. Now it's scannable and mapped to my four stores.”

Two ways, and we always tell you which. Where a retailer exposes a store-inventory endpoint — Target, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, Best Buy and 52 others — we read it directly and stamp the read time. Alo Yoga is the one shelf-level chain with no endpoint at all: there a scout scans the tag in the aisle, and the claim carries their accuracy score and a confirmation count. A number with no source attached does not go on a card.
A SKU on somebody's watchlist gets re-read every 22 minutes; the rest of the catalog comes round every 6 hours. Scout confirmations are stamped to the minute. Every card shows the clock — '4 on shelf · read 40m ago' — because a count without a timestamp is a guess with confidence.
Because the retailer gives us a store and a count but not a location code. 36 of the 58 shelf-data chains work that way — the warehouse clubs, the off-price chains and most of the department stores. You still get the store, the price and the markdown stage, and scouts fill in aisles by hand where they can.
Depth does. The chain is either read or it is not, but the number of locations near you obviously varies — 2,118 stores in New York–Newark against 398 in Nashville. Pick your metro in the strip above and you will see exactly how many of them carry shelf data.
Probably, and the queue is public: 38,410 requests across 214 chains, six of them in flight at any time. Votes set the order and one thing overrides them — whether an existing reader can be pointed at the new catalog without being rewritten. Join the list and name your store; you will get a note the day it goes live.
Not at launch. Everything on this page is US retail. The reader architecture is not country-specific, but the markdown lore is — a Home Depot bay tag means nothing at B&Q — and we would rather ship one country properly than four badly.
Yes, because price history and coupon truth are the same job everywhere. Amazon has no shelf, but knowing that today's $149 AirPods price is the all-time low across 18 checks is the entire decision. What we will not do is imply a store-level answer we do not have.
82 retailers, 58 priced store by store, 22 down to a location code. Join the list and we will tell you which of them are live in your metro on day one.
