A general assistant can describe an air fryer. goat can tell you there are four at Target Mueller in aisle D14, that they rang up at $17.98 forty seconds ago, and that comps put your net at $34.62 each.
What happens when it doesn't know?+
It says so, in the sentence, with the store name. "Mueller has 4; S Lamar I haven't checked." A stale feed, a retailer that publishes nothing, a price older than six hours — all of it shows up as amber, because a gap is friction and friction never gets to look like a saving.
How many live lookups do I get?+
Five a day on the free plan. Everything that doesn't require a live call — price history, card math, stack building, running your list against cached prices — is unlimited. Past five, goat batches the calls and runs them at 4:00am, then messages you with what changed. Pro lifts the cap.
Does goat see my bank or my card numbers?+
Never. You pick the cards you hold from a list during setup, and goat does the math from public earning rates and the bonus dates you enter. There is no account connection, no statement parsing and no number stored anywhere.
Can I delete what it has learned?+
Every line in the transparency panel has a delete button, and there is one button that wipes the whole file. Delete the line about your stores and the next answer stops being local until you tell it again — which is the honest trade, and we show it to you when you press the button.
What if goat is wrong?+
Every claim carries a timestamp, a confirmation count and the accuracy score of whoever posted it. Report a bad shelf read and it drops out of the answer within minutes, and the contributor's score moves. The scans that disagree stay visible — you see 38 confirmations and the two that said the shelf was empty.
Does goat work if I only ever buy groceries?+
Yes, and that's most people. Ask it what's worth buying this week and it will tell you six things on your list hit a real low and that the coffee has been "on sale" at the same price since January. The flipping math is there if you want it and out of the way if you don't.
