Nine group chats.
One structured feed.
A Discord ping is a sentence that disappears. Here the same find is a record — item, store, aisle, price, was, on hand — confirmed by other members with a barcode scan, stamped with the minute, searchable next year, with the poster’s accuracy percentage riding next to it.

A ping is not a record.
Here is a real find, twice. On the left it is eight messages in a Discord and it is dead in 21 minutes. On the right it is the same find with fields on it — which is the only reason anyone can confirm it, alert on it, search it in November or hold the poster to it.

8 messages over 21 minutes, and not one of them is a store, an aisle or a price. Tomorrow it is 40 messages up the scroll and unsearchable.
Ninja air fryer, 4qt

Every one of those fields is a filter, an alert rule and a search key. That is the entire difference between a message and a record.
Your niche already has a room in here
Each topic has moderators who came from the group that used to run it, its own required post fields, its own confirmation rules and its own scouts. The member counts below are people who told us which room they want on day one.

Pick your room before launch day
Founding members choose their topics, reserve their handle and vote on which niche opens next. Topics, pinned finds and the mod list come across with the import; the accuracy score starts at zero for everyone.
A find gets confirmed, not upvoted
A confirmation is a barcode scan taken inside a store. It reads the price and the on-hand count from that store's own inventory, stamps it with the store ID and the minute, and attaches it to the card and to the person who posted it. A reaction does none of that.
Post the find in 40 seconds
Item, store, aisle, price, was, on hand. The fields are required, so nobody has to ask 'which Target' four messages later. A photo of the tag is optional and takes the post from good to citable.
Someone else scans it
A confirmation is a barcode scan inside the store, not a thumbs-up emoji. The scan reads price and on-hand from that store's own inventory, then stamps the confirmation with the store ID and the minute.
Every confirmation strengthens the card
38 confirmations across 6 stores reads differently to 1 confirmation from 400 miles away — so the card shows both, plus the 3 scans that came back wrong. Confirmations from stores near you sort to the top of your feed.
A find with no confirmations decays
No scan in 6 hours and the card dims, drops out of instant alerts and stops counting toward the poster's accuracy either way. Nothing sits at the top of the feed on yesterday's word.
Accuracy settles on the poster
Matched scans raise it, mismatched scans lower it, and a correction you file yourself inside 30 minutes costs you nothing. That number rides next to your handle in every topic, forever.
Scan to confirm, 4 seconds
Camera reads the barcode → the app pulls that store’s price and on-hand → the confirmation posts itself with your handle and the time.

The number that follows you into every topic
Everyone who posts carries a running accuracy percentage: the share of their finds that other members' scans matched. It is not karma and it cannot be farmed with jokes — it moves only when somebody stands in a store and checks.
412 matched ÷ 438 scored = 94%. The 11 self-corrections and the 38 finds that decayed before anyone scanned them are not in the denominator.
A scan matches your post
Same price, same store, inside the window. Confirmations from a store you never claimed still count — they widen the card instead.
A scan comes back different
Wrong price, wrong store, already pulled. One mismatch on a find with 38 matches barely moves the number; a pattern of them moves it fast.
You correct it yourself in 30 minutes
Edit the price, retire the card, say the shelf is cleared. Self-corrections are free, on purpose — the goal is a true feed, not a punished one.
Nobody scans it in 6 hours
The card decays to unverified, stops firing alerts and stops counting either way. An unconfirmed find never helps or hurts your percentage.

Replies that change the data, not just the mood
A confirmation reply moves the count. A mismatch reply flags the store instead of killing the card. The poster answering in the thread is the person whose accuracy is on the line — so the answer tends to be specific.
Ninja 4qt fryer down to $17.98 at Mueller — 4 on the D14 endcap
Tag ends in .98 with the salvage arrow, so this is the last markdown, not a sale. Sold comps are $62–74. At $17.98 plus fees you'd clear about $34 each. Mueller has 4; S Lamar I haven't checked.
Confirmed at Ben White — 1 left, same $17.98, scan attached. It was on the back endcap, not D14.
Round Rock still ringing $24.99. Not marked down at this store yet, so don't drive out for it.
Round Rock resets Thursday morning — I'd wait a day rather than drive. Added it to the store watch so it pings you when the tag flips.
Bought 2. Ask goat for sell-through before you clear the shelf — small kitchen is moving in about 9 days right now.
A ladder you climb by being right
Rungs are earned with confirmed finds, not with post count or time served. Every rung removes a piece of friction — and the friction it removes is exactly the friction that keeps spam out of a new account.
3 posts a day, and the first two wait for a moderator or two Trusted Scouts to clear them. Rung one is 10 confirmed finds away — a Saturday route, for most people.

Bring your group. Keep your name on it.
You built the audience, wrote the rules and answered the same question 400 times. Goatavo gives you the tooling you were never going to build inside a chat app — and every post that starts in your topic says who runs it.
Structured post templates
Set the required fields per topic. Your clearance channel demands store + aisle + on hand; your card channel demands issuer, bonus and spend window. No template, no post.
Confirmation rules you set
Require 2 scans before a find can alert. Require a photo of the tag on anything over 90% off. Auto-retire a card after 6 hours with no confirmation.
Broadcast alerts, rate-limited
Push to everyone who follows your group — 2 broadcasts a day, and the cap is visible to members so nobody wonders why you went quiet.
Analytics you never had
Members migrated, posts per day, confirmation rate, median time-to-first-confirm, which stores your group actually covers, and who your top scouts are.
A mod queue with a log
Shadow queue for new accounts, per-member rate limits, one-tap merge for duplicates. Every action is logged, attributed and appealable by the member.
Attribution that travels
Group name, banner, rules, mod list and invite link come with you. Members see 'run by @aislewalker' on every post that originates in your topic.
Group owners go first
Tell us the group, the platform and roughly how many members. We hand-run the first 60 imports with you on a call.
Broadcast alerts are capped at 2 a day per group. The counter is visible to your members, so a quiet day reads as restraint, not absence.

No. You are trusting the word 'cheap'
A screenshot from a camelcamelcamel tab, six months old
90-day line and an all-time-low flag on every single card
None of this is an argument against your server. It is an argument for keeping the finds somewhere they can be scanned, sorted, alerted on and read back in six months — with your group’s name on every one of them.
Every quote here has a percentage under it
That number is the share of that person's finds another member confirmed with a scan. It is the only credential the community issues, and it is the one thing you can't buy, borrow or bot.
“I was in four Facebook groups, two Discords and a text thread. Everything I actually used is one feed now, and the aisle number is right.”
“The comps are on the card. I stopped opening a second app to work out whether a $17 air fryer was worth the drive.”
“I gave goat my list. It priced all nine things across three stores and told me which two trips were actually worth making.”
“It knew my 5/24 dates and told me to hold. The 150k landed nine days later. That's the whole product.”
“Nine minutes of warning is the difference between a pair and a screenshot. I cancelled three cook groups.”
“It tells me when the 'sale' is the same price it's been all year. I trust that more than the deal itself.”
Deal communities die of self-promotion
Every one of them dies the same way: the affiliate links arrive, the good posters leave, and what's left is a coupon feed with a mascot. These six rules are in the product, not in a pinned message nobody reads.
Affiliate links are stripped on post
Every outbound link is rewritten to a clean URL before it renders. Nobody's rank, reach or badge is affected by what a click earns them, because a click can't earn them anything here.
New accounts post 3 a day
Until 10 confirmed finds, you're capped and your first two posts sit in a shadow queue. It costs a real contributor one afternoon and costs a spam ring the entire business model.
Duplicates merge, they don't stack
Post a find that already exists and it folds into the original card as a confirmation — you get the credit, the feed doesn't get a second copy, and the thread stays in one place.
Self-promo is a topic, not the feed
Creators get a profile, a group and a follow button. What they don't get is the main feed. A promotional post outside your own topic is removed and costs a rung.
Ranking can't be bought
A card's position is discount, freshness, confirmation count, confirmation distance and the poster's accuracy. There is no paid slot in the feed and no sponsored card shape.
Wrong is survivable, misleading isn't
A mismatch costs accuracy points; a correction you file within 30 minutes costs nothing. Deliberately fake finds — a price that never existed — are a removal, not a demotion.
Before you move your group
Do I have to shut down my Discord?+
No, and most groups shouldn't at first. Import brings your topics, pinned finds and mod list across while your server keeps running. Every find posted in Goatavo can echo back to a Discord webhook, so your members can stay where they are until they don't want to.
What actually counts as a confirmation?+
A barcode scan inside a store. It reads the price and the on-hand count from that store's inventory, stamps it with the store ID and the minute, and attaches it to the find. A comment saying 'still there' is a reply, not a confirmation, and it never moves the number.
What happens to my group's name?+
It comes with you. Name, banner, rules, invite link and mod list. Every post that originates in your topic carries 'run by' and your handle, and your group keeps its own follower count separate from the topic it feeds.
How do you stop it becoming a self-promotion feed?+
Three ways. Affiliate links are stripped before render. New accounts are capped at 3 posts a day until 10 confirmed finds. And ranking is computed from discount, freshness, confirmations and accuracy — none of which you can buy. A promo post outside your own topic drops you a rung.
What if I post something wrong?+
You lose accuracy points when a scan mismatches, unless you file the correction yourself within 30 minutes — then it costs nothing. Accuracy is a running percentage, not a strike count, so one bad Tuesday doesn't undo 400 good finds.
Can I moderate without running a group?+
Yes. Topic moderation is its own track — you're nominated by the topic's existing mods and confirmed by the members who post in it. Mod actions are logged, attributed, and appealable by the person on the other end.
Does running a group cost anything?+
No. Groups, topics, confirmations, mod tools and analytics are free. Pro exists for individuals who want instant instead of batched alerts and unlimited live store checks — nothing about running a group sits behind it.
Do you sell the data my group generates?+
No. Aggregate shelf truth makes the product work for everyone in the app, and your group's analytics belong to you. The Me tab shows every member exactly what the app thinks it knows about them, with a delete button on each line.

Six pages the confirmations feed
Community isn't a tab in Goatavo — it is the thing that makes every other page true. Confirmations, aisle maps, comps and accuracy scores are what turn a link into a find.
In-store clearance
Where most confirmations happen: 61k members, aisle codes, on-hand counts and the tag endings that mean it is dying.
The penny list
34 items live this week, each one verified by scan instead of a 400-comment blog thread from 2014.
Drops & restocks
One calendar for sneakers, Pokémon, Mint releases and blind boxes — the thing three cook groups charge $40 a month each for.
Alerts
Turn any topic, poster or store into a rule. Instant or batched, with a dry run that shows what last week would have sent.
Meet goat
Ask the assistant for comps, price history or the two stores worth driving to before you clear a shelf.
Resell & flip
Sold comps and sell-through on the card itself, credited to the comp checker who shared them.
A find with a store ID
outlives the group chat.
Your members already do the hard part — they stand in the aisle and check. Give what they find a shape, a minute and a name, and it stops evaporating at the bottom of a scroll.
